Quote about love

"Love is a symbol of eternity. It wipes out all sense of time, destroying all memory of a beginning and all fear of an end."

Quote for the Day

It is not enough to have a good mind; the main thing is to use it well.

The Journey

The clock struck one ad the fog covered the sky for miles and would not retreat,
It rolled through the air starting at the sky line and ending down on the street,
It was cold and damp but he did not care,
He waited for the right moment to make his move and enter the house if he dared,
The house where the screaming and anger was loudly heard but suddenly the lights went dim,
The strange sensation of death was felt as the fog rolled in.
Quiet as a mouse he floated into the house right through the front door,
It seemed as if he was levitating above the floor.
His flowing black gown resembled darkness and death,
Inhaling and exhaling loudly with every breath.
He entered the living room where he found the “victim” lying across a chair,
Soaked with blood and no longer able to take in air.
She wore nothing but a gown worn for bed,
Not knowing her life would end that night by the man she once loved and chose to wed.
Earlier that evening her husband had come home smelling of an unfamiliar perfume and gin and tonic,
Denying any wrong doing, yet the whole thing was ironic.
She asked many questions and the accusations he denied,
She became furious and upset the more he lied.
His anger took over and he threw her against the stair well,
Her body hit so hard against the wood and her head began to swell.
The fight finally ended with the crash of the glass frame,
Across her head and taking her life, things would never be the same.
Her husband was so full of rage and unsure of what to do or who to tell,
So he grabbed his car keys and left his house of hell.
But HE was still there in that house to take her away,
To bring her soul to GOD and start a new day.
His suit wasn’t black after all, it was clean and glowing white,
He wasn’t scary either as he crept into her house in the middle of the night.
Wrapping his arms around the woman and lifting her up into the fog of unknown,
Leaving her battered life on earth and beginning a new one with the man on the throne.
GOD was his name and he welcomed her with open arms and hands,
Never judging just loving and accepting her into his Eternal Land.

Poem of the day

A Runaway’s Prayer

My thoughts are blurred and my feelings confused,
I know what I have done in the past and I am sorry too.
I would love to go back to the way things used to be,
But that’s not reality and it’s time to open my eyes and really see.
The choice is up to me to change the way I live,
But my request for forgiveness must be sincere in order for HIM to forgive.
When I am out on the streets I don’t think of HIM much,
But I know deep down that I need his healing touch.
I call HIM GOD, this LORD of mine,
I do love and respect him some of the time.
But most times I don’t listen to him, I just block his words out,
Not realizing those times are when I need him the most without a doubt.
I know I have been selfish these past few years,
And his help is only asked for when I am down and in tears,
Or when I want or need something too,
But that isn’t right and I know I should start something new.
I want to feel like a Christian again and finally really believe,
And if HE will have me, then Jesus Christ I want to receive.
So I pray, “Lord please help me do the right thing!”
I want to put my faith in you again for you are my King.
The problems in my life have cut me like a knife,
But I trust that someday I will have Eternal Life.
All I have to do is believe in you,
And ask you into my heart honestly and true.
So I ask you dear God, “Will you come into my heart?
And never forsake me or ever from me would you part?”
“I love you God and from now on I always will!”
Even through all of life’s crazy unexpected ills.
I will close the subject with one final phrase,
“Thank you God for saving me! And please stay with me through life’s confusing and unexpected maze.”

Poem of the day

Does the Truth Hurt More?

Thinking of the past and wondering what went wrong,

Remembering a child that used to be determined, happy, and strong,

Who is to blame if anyone at all,

Was it all her fault or did her family cause her to fall?

Or maybe it was her pride that slapped her in the face,

Or maybe her negative views on the human race.

It seems trivial to ponder on these thoughts but the question still remains,

Why is the world the way it is? Why does everyone endure pain?

So many questions left unanswered in this young girl’s mind,

Unclear lessons that are portrayed through daily dramatic mimes.

She wonders if it is worth the time to find the answers to heal,

Or have the answers already been secretly revealed?

Poem written for mom

Role of Death

I look into your eyes but now I see no life,
Your face was dull and silent as your body deals with the strife.
The accident took your words, your soul, and your heart,
Leaving your mere shell of a body all broken apart.
Starting at your neck all the way to your feet,
Battered and bruised from the powerful collision of defeat.
Tubes were protruding from all over your body along with several beeping monitor screens,
IV’S , medication, and a full staff of nursing teams.
Your eyes finally lost their twinkle after four days and I began to lose hope,
The doctors tried to make you as comfortable as possible while your body tried to cope.
Unfortunately, despite the efforts, I lost you that morning to the man in the sky,
I guess HE decided it was your time to die.
I hope you are happy mom and I pray you will remember me,
Because you were my life and meant the world to me.
I hope to see you again one fine day,
Until then I must continue with my own life today.

Inspirational Quote for the day

“Being happy doesn't mean that everything is perfect. It means that you've decided to look beyond the imperfections.”

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

(Matthew 6:14,15)
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
